Mixed Media Mindfulness Course

4-Week Abstract Art Course

This popular course is beginner friendly & suitable for all levels, especially those seeking permission to loosen up their style and 'play'

 

Art is a wonderful way to calm the mind and ground us. The colours,

textures, materials and methods draw us to our senses and help us immerse in the present moment 

Each week Sarah begins by guiding the group in a short calming meditation & mindful drawing exercises to quiet the 'busy' mind before supporting you to explore colour, texture and pattern through a range of mixed media painting materials and techniques.  Mindfulness Based Concepts are woven throughout the course and each week follows a theme to help you explore these concepts:

This is a relaxed and non-judgemental session offering you the freedom for creative-self care and spontaneous self expression. No previous art experience is necessary, just a willingness to be curious and experimental!

Expressive Semi-abstract Landscapes

An acrylic and mixed media workshop in which Sarah will support you to create your own unique expressive landscape on 3 small wooden cradled panels. Sarah will guide you in colour, composition, paint application, and mixed media techniques & mark making to help you bring your mini triptych painting into the world!

​

Better suited to those with some experience using acrylic or who have attended a previous workshop or Mixed Media Mindfulness Course. 

​

And of course, lashings of tea/Coffee and cake/biscuits provided

A relaxed and informal art workshop - suitable for any level


Learn to render loose and expressive clouds / skies using a variety of

mixed media materials & different painting techniques


We'll be practicing techniques using watercolour, acrylic and soft pastels on paper before moving on to a 30 x 20cm stretched canvas to create your beautiful painting to take home

Ideal for beginners & those seeking permission to 'loosen up'!

This is a relaxed and informal workshop in which you will explore colour, composition, collage, ink as well as paint application & mark making. Firstly, Sarah will support you to create a cohesive set of mini abstract paintings on mixed media paper before moving on to working on a small canvas panel for your finished painting

​

This workshop offers you the opportunity to slow down, connect to your senses and immerse in the creative process without judgement.
